Centre for Genome Biology (CGB)

The Centre for Genome Biology is a collaborative effort at the University of Bologna of four research groups whose activities require genome sequencing and bioinformatics analysis of genomic data. Projects are mainly devoted to modern biological problems where molecular sequencing or resequencing of DNA or RNA can help unravelling the complexity of cells, tissues and organisms.

Motivation: great expectations have been generated in different fields by the increasing role and impact of genome sequencing and computer science in processing and analyzing data. The aim of the Centre of Genome Biology is pushing forward current boundaries between existing solutions and innovative ideas to fill the gap between what we know and what we understand.
